Hi! I'm Karly (she/her/hers), a mom, and nurse here on Vancouver Island. From a young age I found joy in helping others. I began lifeguarding at the age of thirteen, expanding within the aquatic field into adult hood. I explored various career paths in health care, which eventually led to my nursing degree.​

I finally found my calling after becoming a mom to my rainbow baby. As I  experienced my own breastfeeding challenges, I encountered the lack of accessible, professional feeding support and knowledge. I wanted to help change this, at the very least for my local area of Greater Victoria. I successfully completed further education, expanding my nursing scope and skills in specialized care for lactation and feeding. Completing this education, I am now eligible to write the IBCLE exam in hopes to be a International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
